Scheduling *

You will need to visit Wildfell at least twice, the first for measuring and the second for a baste fitting. While this is the minimum, we recommend that you also have a forward fitting, too. And if there is good reason, we encourage you to return once more for a fin-bar-bin fitting. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule. To start the process, please indicate your preferred dates for your first visit. A Wildfell representative will contact you and go from there.

Description

The Concept

Wildfell’s Women’s Harris TweedTM Hacking Jacket, Peplum Back is designed to give the female mounted hunter a graceful silhouette whether riding astride or aside.  Velvet accents provide added flare, as well.  Yet, the heart of this hacking jacket is its signature 500 g/m Harris Tweed™, which protects against thorn and thistle while being light enough for the garment to be worn indoors from late Fall to early Spring.

About the Colors

Autumn Brown evokes the lower key hues of Vermont’s landscape in late October.  The spectacular, divinely inspired color and light show of our sugar maple, and yellow and white birch under clear, sun-filled skies has ended.  Partridge coverts are now more expansive after leaf-fall, and mounted hunting’s formal season is mid-stride.  Snow often covers the higher elevations in the morning, reminding you that Thanksgiving and Christmas are on the way.  It’s the best of times.

Woodland Green mirrors the color palette of a Vermont hardwood forest, harkening back to tweed’s sporting roots inasmuch as it blends into the landscape.  You’ll know what we mean if you visit Green Mountain National Forest in June and hike the trails near where Robert Frost left his mark.  The good thing is that Woodland Green blends with the civilized landscape just as easily.  It truly is an all-rounder.
